Learn the elegant Copperplate script with a series of 26 step-by-step video tutorials by Barbara Close. This is the first class in her Pointed Pen Possibilities series, produced by Sandia Workshops.
Using a pointed, flexible nib, you will start by learning the basic strokes that form the building blocks for the entire alphabet using Barbara’s easy-to-follow method. Then, by practicing lowercase and capital letters as groups of related letterforms, you’ll soon be writing words with confidence. Copperplate calligraphy is perfect for creating graceful invitations, addressing envelopes, name cards, poetry and quotations.
The duration of this class is 1 hour, 15 minutes. Lessons are professionally recorded and tightly edited – we spend time so we don’t waste your time! And there is no time limit – you can rewatch the videos for as long as you like! You’ll also be invited to Barbara’s private Facebook Group where you can share your progress and ask questions.
You only need a few supplies to get started; see the Materials List below.
